I just bought elder scrolls IV: oblivion yesterday and to my utter dismay, my computer was too old to run it properly.

Well, taking all the good effects off and reducing the resolution to 800x600, I started to play. Only to realize that I got video game motion sickness. Man!

The last time I got that when Doom was released and now again! I like that game and even considered upgrading my computer for it, but playing and just thinking about playing will make my stomach turn and head spin. Life is so unfair.

I think that, if you get video game motion sickness you shouldn't play it Razz

If it is really so important to you then get a newer computer.

You know you want to Smile

Can't you even play for 5 minutes?
Try short intervals and then increase them. Oblivion is a great game, I would easily buy it if I wasn't poor.
(I recently stumbled upon a lame ass glitch though)

dear me... Oblivion does look teh sexy however, so i shall be requisitioning a copy as soon as finances permits. My new PC should manage it, if it doesnt there is likely to be much lamenting and foul language to come Very Happy

Chugs in places on my x2 4400 (oclocked to 4800 speed) 7800gtx 2gb ram <20 fps. I can't run it at max resolution unless I like to play it as a slideshow, so run it at 1280x1024 with all the bits turned on. Good excuse to spend the extra on another card for SLI maybe Smile

Looks nice, not sure I have the time or inclination to devote to it though - looks a bit of a life sapper :S
