Earlier today, the FFB game server started to act up and you haven't been able to play games properly over the day.

I've identified an issue with a network card and/or cable on the server that runs FFB where it's experiencing massive packet loss over that interface. This is the connection to the main database which as you may imagine is pretty important for functionality.

I have now temporarily moved the DB traffic over to another network and will take a look at the underlying hardware issue when I get the time to do so. At best, I'll be replacing a network cable (meaning no need to shut down the machine), and at worst I'll need to replace the NIC (meaning some shopping and a hardware maintenance window).

I'll keep you all posted about this and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Update: It's not a cable issue and I will be replacing the NIC in question at some point this weekend (most likely on sunday).
