Since this annoying fad has now come to FUMBBL, here's a few tips for all of you. This will be the only entry I make here, though I may update it as new suggestions occur to me.

Blogging? How pretentious. It's a damn diary, call it that.

Nobody gives a @#*& about the boring minutiae of your daily existence. You'd have to be completely self-absorbed to think otherwise.

If you put your full name, address, a photo of yourself, the name of the school you go to, etc on your page, don't be shocked when total strangers contact you, or worse, that one starts stalking or harassing you.

Just because you've gotten 1000 people to click on a link that says "Click to be my friend and I'll click to be your friend" doesn't actually mean they're your friend.

You're not really that popular. Your friends counter is not a competition. Validating your existence based on how many random strangers you can get to click a link is just pathetic.

If you put hundreds of photos on your page, expect it to go unread. Nobody is curious enough to sit there waiting for 20 minutes for it to load.

Even without any pictures, putting every entry you've ever written for the last 5 years on a single long page makes it load excrutiatingly slowly. I know you're technically illiterate, but drop $10 on "A Complete Moron's Guide to Basic HTML" and find out how to make multiple pages and link them. Even one page per month would be a vast improvement.

Learn. To. Spell. I can't stress this point enough. Punctuation and proper sentence structure are also a plus.
