It's funny. Three years ago I stumbled upon FUMBBL and the wonders of playing Blood Bowl online. I learned an awful lot--mostly that I wasn't particularly good at this crazy boardgame featuring the literal interpretation of fantasy football.

Yet as with all things, I eventually grew tired of my indulgences on the pitch and retired from the site, seeking greener pastures elsewhere. I quickly forgot about FUMBBL and all things related.

Over the holidays, I unearthed my copy of BB from my attic and dusted off its well-worn cover. Like an old flame, the spark was immediately rekindled. Thoughts of High Elf Blitzers and Orcish Throwers filled my head. I made certain to pack it into my bag and take it on the long flight home.

Eager to renew my passion for the game, but lacking more than a friend or two who was interested locally, I leaped back onto the FUMBBL scene.

Since returning I've gone 2-5 and have been outscored 11-4 and out-injured 16-7.

Yes, three years have gone by, but some things never change.
