About Nuffle
We all had it, we all suffered under the lack of it. In Bloodbowl a few lucky rolls can change a lot.
I have no problem if someone appreciates his/her good luck in chat or curses nuffle for giving him/her those four ones in a row which result in the death of their AG6 ST5 starplayer. What I can not stand is, when your opponent is accusing you of only winning because of good luck. It's just not sportman/sportswoman -ship. It makes it seem as if you have no clue how to play other than rolling sixes.
Isn't this the beauty and the curse of the game, that those guys on the field sometimes mess up horribly sometimes and make the impossible happen at others? Isn't it awesome that sometimes even an inexperienced player can beat that 2000+ game legend? I played a bunch of games (and finished them) with only a few players left on the pitch in the second half. Because I feel this is also part of the game and can be quite a lot of fun (Desperation moves can be quite exciting). I did not call my opponent a lucker noob who has no strategy or sense of the game...
I guess all I am saying is: be nice to each other and try to finish your games. I for one rather play a full game with a nice opponent than getting two mvps and being cursed at for 14 turns.

Cheers

Agreed.

Keeping your cheering/cursing directed at the players and Nuffle is definitely the classier approach. :O

Fully agreed, though the whining and swearing feels pretty much gone, coming from and lrb4 experience. Also, once again, so much about the overemphasized chess comparisons that stick with the game. ^^

Ab--soul--utly, you can't win vs ur dice(usually), but playing it to the end as good sport u win the respect of your opponent and fame cause people like to watch your games and follow your team.

One should always remain gentlemanly while trying to kill the opponent's players

7 games prior to you shining the light on a concession you did yourself concede. Your point on people being polite to each other is of course the real topic here. To that I agree whole heartedly. I like to try and follow the Golden Rule in BB. Pile awnta others, as you would have them Pile awnta you. :)

yeah, I did and I retired the team right afterwards. It was against paradocks by the way, who does not seem to have me in bad memory... I also conceded on two other occasions, both times because something came up at work that I could not postpone.
But all that aside, even if I was a reagequitting conceder, who was an asshole to any coach, I think what I wrote in Blog entry would still be true and would tell myself to read it and meditate on it ;)
