I first started playing BB over 20years ago. I dabbled with the 1st edition, played 2nd to death and have a fair bit of experience with 3rd. After not playing for around 10 years i stumbled across FUMBBL and after a few matches found it was like riding a bike and you never forget how to play. So i started a [R] team and decided i'd enter a tournament, the FUMBBL tour to be exact. I thought i minor tournament with a light schedule would be nice for me to ease into organised play...

How wrong i was...

Playing with woodelves my first opponent was dwarfs, alarm bells rang immediately when i received the PM informing me the schedule had been set...

I was destroyed...

I started a man down anyway and after my opponents 'got the ref' i was fouled every turn and (i think the term within FUMBBL is) diceraped at every opportunity. I ended the match (early) with 2 players available to play, 2 dead and 6 with niggling injuries. I had to retire my beloved team.

Altho i do have other teams i've always preferred the elf game so i immediately set out to redeem myself with a brand new [R] woodelf side and played a match against a starter Dark Elf outfit (i'd be all right here surely?)...

My luck from the previous game decided to spill over into this and altho i somehow managed to draw the match i ended it with 3 niggles and a dead treeman, yes a DEAD treeman...

In a fit of rage i retired them too, hopefully it will be third [R] woodelf team lucky.
