“GAME NUMBER 100 FOR THE GOATS!!!!

A classic rematch between bitter rivals. The last time these teams met was in the semifinals of the FUMBBL CUP Qualifier with Dark Justice pulling out a nailbiting win. This time the Goats were ready for the match as Cletus's Common Law Wife made her debut wearing Cletus's armour!

A long drive ate up most of the first half as the Goats tempted the darkies to fight for the ball instead of retreating. The evil elves were baited in eagerly as a well placed blitz knocked the Wife to the ground spilling the ball next to no less than 5 players! The armour and strength of the Goats showed as four elves were sent to the bench, one clutching his left arm from a brutal shot by Cletus's Fetus (BH). The elves were worn down by the grinding style of the Goats as their patience wore out at a crucial time (no rrs left). A scattered ball ended up in the Wife's hands and a dashing witchelf was caught with a vicious right hand as she attacked the rookie warrior (skull). The half ended with the newcomer enjoying her first TD!

Second half saw both teams at full strength minus the elven kicker and ready to go. While the ball was being kicked the elves rushed forward to engage the Goats only to blow the blitz on the dirty goat and fumble the pass from one thrower to the other. Wasting no time..... the Goats surged forward and crushed a second elf (BH) while knocking the dauntless blitzer to the KO box! Cletus's Wife had her eyes on the ball and managed to get it almost within her grasp when the streaking form of a dark elf thrower flew by picking up the ball and zinging a rifling ball towards a pocket of blitzers ready to escort the ball into the Goat end zone......

As that ball was sailing through the air, Filet, one of the three remaining goats from the squad that last played Dark Justice, dove out and managed to snag the ball from midair! A multiblock later, and the ball was handed off to the newest warrior ready to score her second TD. With a growl the remaining elves ran back and knocked over only to sprint back towards the halfway line. By this point though, the interception had killed all momentum the elves had and Cletus's Fetus was able to smack his witch up and shoot the ball against the sidelines. Another elf grabbed the ball only to be blindsided by a tackling Carne Asada. All that remained was the formality of a handoff to Cletus's wife who promptly tripped in her new warboots (1,1 on last GFI) to send her dazed and out of action. A last ditch handoff to the Chicken Strangler failed as fans rushed the field to celebrate thus blowing the chance for a 2-0 win. The dejected elves quickly left knowing that on this day..... the Goats were not the better team....



Just the one destined to win.
