This game is hopefully the turning point for the Elephants. Not only do their finally have a 50% win rate now, they also managed to turn their 100% loss statistc against wood elves around.

The game was set in sweltering heat in the Wood Elf stadium. The Elephants choose to receive but fast lost control of the ball as their catcher deep down field was not sufficiently protected against the WD's.

A lone WD managed to leaf away from the messy brawl carrying the ball, and only a missed catch from a lino deep down field meant I was not behind.

I manage to regain the ball, but once again a missed catch means the ball is loose, the Woodies picking it up, but again missing a critical move, this time a short pass.

Last turn of the half a manage to hand it of to a blitzer, who unfortunately stumbles in the end zone on her 2nd GFI. The woodies picks up the loose ball, passes it for a half field to the waiting hands of a lino, who falls 1 square short of handling off to a waiting lino for a TD.

End of first half and the game is tied at 0-0.

Second half and the woodies receive, sending 2 players downfield. Seeing a opening to hand of for a touch down, the ball carrying lino takes one step to many and stumbles to the ground, the ball passing out of his hands.

The elf catcher is fast to pick up the ball and pass down to a waiting blitzer.

The resulting woodie counter attack quickly results in a turn over as all RR are now spend. The one WD making the ball carrier is easily blitzed away, sending him to the KO box. The Elephants are up with 1.

With a full KO box and the heat affecting the players, now only 8 WE are able to set up against 10 elves. Even worse the elves are stocking 3 RR to none.

A lone WD makes a got for it, but the ball is snatched from his hands, picked up and passed down field by the elf thrower.

The WE have no problems subdoing the lone elf catcher, and things are looking brighter untill the ag5 elf dodges xxx times in TZ, picks up the ball, dodges away and passes to a waiting lino.

This lino is blitzed again, and the crowd holds their breath as the WE brings the ball forward, passing it to the waiting wardancer.

The elf thrower steps in and intercepts, and the crows goes wild!

The rest is history as the thrower dodges away and passes down fiild to a waiting lino who scores for a 2-0 lead.

A very nice game, and with no MNG!

Thanks for the game
