#13 Crimson Warden – Dead (RIP)
“The post match drama in the Vanguard locker room has been leaked and caught by those low-down reporters working for ChannelBB - more details there.
What a shambles. The casualty tally was tough, but their inability to do anything at all this game made it a game to forget. It's been a long time since we've failed to make a play for an entire game. Really disappointing to have come up with absolutely nothing to challenge their oldest foe a second time running. Especially in front of such a large crowd - 156k!

What a game he had. Whilst their whole team worked almost flawlessly, Shariputra was still a standout. Making gfi's, throwing the boot in and in general playing the trollishly unfamiliar part of Mr Reliable, he made life incredibly difficult for us.

Made the pows when they were needed, even ran the gauntlet through multiple tackle zones to take down the ball carrier. But it was drawing the failed double dodge from Hopp'n and ko'ing her while she had the ball mid-second half that really nailed our morale.

After getting good chances and failing to stop the first drive, this hob truly rubbed it in. The adepts had streaked across the field and put up an absolutely steller defence as the half time siren neared, and then closed their play with a critical 1d block on the sideline. Slightly desperate, Crimson attempted the 1d block on this hob to make a run for the tryline, failed twice and then failed his last ditch dodge. On top of it all, he failed to dodge the ground. Unfortunately for Crimson, this turned out to be quite a fatal mistake.”

The fitst half started well for the vanguard, taking out former Twhanlow medalist Mitra Concentration in the first turn. Frome there the elves looked to take advantage, but some huddling and goodblocking ketp the ball in habgoblin hands, and eventaully down the field for a TD to the unlikely BC catcher Tetsugyu Mindful .
With little time remaining a crucial error from Crimson Warden dashed any chances of the Vanguard evening the score before the half.
The second half was much like the second part of the first, with the Adepts blocking dominating, culminating a blitz from Mindful into the backfield and subsequent pickup and score.
