SWL Season 15: Premier Game 3

Round 3 of Season 15, and Germany were once again pitted against long time hassle, the Zen Adepts. The Adepts took the time before the match to spike Hanin Elias' drink, and she spent the majority of the game projectile vomiting, a prefferable past time to the participating in the German line of scrimmage no doubt.

Germany recieved the opening kick off, and after securing the ball looked to Otto to clear a path down the middle of the field. Otto, however, had other plans, falling flat on his face, a theme to be repeated throughout the game. The Chaos Dwarves replied typically, bashing anything available, before getting spotted by the ref fouling Otto, a foul well deserved. Karl & Carl then put on some light stepping through the Adept line, into the clear, and Benz opened the Vermin account. The Adepts survived a few close calls to score through Hakuyu, playing Mozart his requiem along the way, and after the German Apothecary had saved Matt Tinsen from a niggling injury, it was 1-1 at the break, with one player each sent off for fouling.

The second half started with the Ref showing he hadn't softened his stance on the boot, sending off Shike Effort almost immediately. Germany flooded downfield, Ino Understanding fell over and badly hurt himself, and somewhere in the chaos Karl Benz scored his second TD. Things looked good for the Adepts when at the next kick off the crowd decided to intervene and flattened the entire left wing defence for the Vermin. GIANT FREAKTAUR, Tetsugyu Mindful ran down the touch line, taunting the much smaller rats to try and push him into the stands. Albert Speer, the good Nazi, took up the challenge, giving Mindful enough of a shove to put him out. Carl Jung scooped up the loose ball, threw it to Kaiser Wilhelm in the open, and the scoreline blew out to 3-1. During this, Matt Tinsen seriously injured Itsu Ro, his 4th casualty for the season. From there Germany pulled back from the angry chaotic little men, and their GIANT FREAKTAUR, and the Adepts quickly put on a 2nd TD through Abhaya. This left enough time for Germany to score one last time through Wilhelm, and take the final winning lead of 4-2.

As the ref walked off the field, the Germans saw their chance. The GIANT FREAKTAUR was on the ground, and the Adepts weren't paying attention! Albert Speer ran up and gave the GIANT FREAKTAUR a solid boot, and was happy to hear a satisfying crunch to accompany it's scream. Sadly though the Adept Apothecary was on his game today, and he managed to put Humpty GIANT FREAKTAUR Dumpty back together again.

Twahnlow Votes
3 votes- #7 Abhaya: Versatile, seemed to always be just where we didn't want him.
2 votes- #9 Lung-t'an: Agility 5 passblock means fast breaks arent quite as easy- or fast. Lung also runs/distributes the ball well. Major annoyance.
1 vote- #15 Tetsugyu Concentration: GIANT FREAKTAUR. Not alot more needs to be said.

Another classic match-up between the SWL greats...

The first half was a close one ending 1-1. A clean ass ref, mean all game, meant that the Adpets opening drive was a man down from the get go. The rats used their speed to hit the backfield and got a 2td lead that was to prove insurmountable for the courageous Monks.

Twahnloes
3pts: Kaiser Wilhelm: One of the dreaded runners on this team, speed agility and skill, instrumental in every TD
2pts: Carl Jung - Using his mental rpowess he psyches himself to take on opponents who should be able to pulverize this rat, pure determination.
1pt: Matt Tinsen - Old schol Vermin player, with a very nasty streak, rough and brutal he suits the team to a T.
