SWL Season XVII - Southside Stone Smashers Conference League - Round 5

We certainly had the luck in this match. After receiving, and securing the ball, we managed to inflict some early casualties on the rats, and they never really recovered. Everything pretty much went to plan, and with several turns left, Loony Tossa handed the ball off to Face Maula who stood around confused (what *is* this brown thing I'm holding) until turn 8, when Bone Krasha eventually pushed her over the line. I think it was only the fact that the fans cheered that made her realise she'd actually done something good.

The second half saw an attempt at a quick touchdown, but Doomed was not quite up to the challenge of throwing a long bomb, and the ball landed right in front of his feet. With so few rats on the field, we had no trouble swarming in to collect the ball, scoring a second touchdown. Things wen't pretty much the same again on the third drive, and there never really was a good shot for a Skaven touchdown. It seemed effortless for Spine Klubba to stroll in with a third touchdown, just on the buzzer.

------------------- Twahnlow Votes -------------------

3 pts - #16 Lab Rat
Blodge, side-step and shadowing are a nice combo. He kept on getting in the way, and made me think before hitting anyone. He was also the closest the rats had to a scoring threat. Fortunately, he didn't end up doing anything too nasty.

2 pts - #11 Green Green White
8 blocks, including one KO, and always present near the ball. Played well, trying to support the thrower, Doomed, but really wasn't enough to save the game.

1 pt - #2 Revenge
Although he was out of the game for most of the whole match, he did paint a pretty target on himself, and drew a lot of attention while he was there. He also managed to knock out Back Breaka, bringing us down to just one tackler for a large portion of the match (a little over half the match anyway).

----------

Damn it's hard to award Twahnlows when none of the players stand out, or do anything much worth mentioning... the thrower maybe deserves a mention (for attempting a long bomb), as does the other gutter runner (for risking his life in the end zone waiting to receive said long bomb). It was the closest the rats came to scoring, but they didn't have the luck needed to pull of the 5+ long bomb (despite rerolling it).
