“The Gypsies armed themselves with stakes and took to the field against the vampire team FC Venom! Without their kicker, Wesley Stable, the Gypsies brought a lot of the younger players out to flesh out the line up. They kicked off to the vamps and quickly knocked out several opponents on their way to the ball. Cougar would stun himself trying to knock down the ball carrier, but the vamps would lose the ball quickly after the vampire ball carrier knocked himself out trying to push towards some daylight. The Gypsies would bobble the ball down the field, knocking out more vamps along the way. Mace Jawshatter would fumble a throw to Jonez late in the half. Cougar himself would pick up the ball and take it in for the score in the closing seconds of the half.

The Gypsies would get the kick-off and began marching down the field. Still the vamps managed to knock down Jonez as he manuevered for a quick TD. St. Stone would push out the thrall ball carrier, but in a huge loss to the Gypsies, he was seriously injuried trying to dodge out from the undead clutches! His knee was so mangled that the team doctor could not save it. Realizing that St. Stone, the last of the founding Four Kings,would have to retire, the team rallied to score again. Cougar crippled a vamp standing in the way. Nightsong would connect with Jonez, who would dance in for the second TD.

The vamps, seeing sunrise coming, decided to concede the game midway though the second half, leaving the Gypsies with enough money to immediately replace St. Stone with a new recruit, Kyle Killzone. With a huge purse and some new fans, Coach Ryce was left to wonder if it would all balance out the loss of Vincent St. Stone...
