#10 Phil 'X-Ray' O'Donnell – Dead (RIP) #13 Paul 'Boner' Keegan – Dead (RIP)
“First half i pretty much dominated, the dice had nothing to do with it.. :O
2nd half as it went on i got the other end of the stick, lots of 1DB's early on all working against me lost me field position and 'The duke' managed to really inflict pain including the death of my Star throw ra X'Ray O'Donnell.
Pythrr then played out his own stall although i did get the ball down once.
Rovers travelled to the far northern wastes to face the terrifying might of MUMMYWELL in the final game of thje regular season! Death, carnage and horror were all on offer, and the first few turns certainly turned out that way, with the Orcs taking a SI (apoc-ed), a death (oops), a BH and some KOs. Much of the rest of the game was left to 7 or 8 orcs at any one time.
Not surprisingly, Mummywell scored in T5, and then prevented the undermanned (under-orced?) Rovers from scoring before half time.
The second half came, and with it a turn in fortunes. Suddenly it was undead AV that was breaking, and the orcs moved slowly down the right flank keeping the muumies at bay while hammering on the skelos. Oh how the sound of cracking bones resounded through the night air!
First went Keegan back to the hell from whence he spawned, and then the might ST4 Thro-Ra Phil O'Donnell followed him to his unnatural doom...
Finally, the light-bearer and all-round-good-bloke The Duke carried the gore-besmattered ball over the endline to tie the game 1-1. Huzzah! And so the warriors of light and goodness prevail once more! (or at least they didn't lose, which is good enough for today).
Garry Mabbutt will be remembered long into the dark night.....”
