A CLASSIC match against one of our age old rivals! This match featured a bit of everything...big hits, dangerous ball movement...desperate defense...and some excellent offense! One of the best games for fun I have ever played!
We recieved and rolled up the side for a pretty regulation TD. They responded in kind. The last 2 turns each were hectic though...a BLITZ on the kick saw the Norse stream into a open weak strong side and recovered the ball. SisterLuck seemed to save the day with a big hit that BH their big Star...but some clever 1d work saw the TD stolen and we go to halftime down 1-2. On the restart we get Perfect Defense...and combined with a droped ball and an ill advised 1d skull...sees US steal the march. A few turns later it is 2-2.
The Norse weren't done yet though...another roll up the side was looking good...but a desperate play from SisterLuck cleared/recovered the ball and then stood strong in the ensuing hit. The key moment though was he rolled out to a pass...and it was DROPPED! Had that pass completed it was game over! But no complaints here...took some big luck to even have the chance and a draw was certainly what this clash deserved!

Thanks for such a great game Toonie!

3pts: #14 Jnord Reikonnen. This MA7 AG4 blitzer is as good as you reckon! Did heaps in the first half...but went down with a minor injury via SisterLucks horns ;)

2pts: #11 Jan Everett. Once the ag was gone the true Thrower moved into gear...and was decisive from behind excellent blocking.

1pt: #6 Rolf Svennson. In a team of Dirty Players he managed to be the dirtiest! Although if I recall correctly, from 6 fouls we received a KO at worst. But this little bugger kept trying!

Well oz pretty much summed it all up, but from memory, it was a 2d block that caused me to get Sisterluck knocked over so i could score the td to go up 2-1 at the half. But otherwise he was on the ball.

Twahnlows

3 points : ShoNuff - ag4 beastie that ran in the 2 tds for the Crowes, tried to throw the winning td on the last turn but lucked out by throwing an interception

2 points : SisterLuck - the playmaker of the Crowes, ag5 on a beastman is oh so sweet, set up both tds

1 point : WokeUpThisMorning - claw/rsc nasty caused a couple of cas making life hard for me by reducing my numbers, deserves to be fouled ;)
