#12 Hidas – Dead (RIP)
#13 Nehemus – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#13 Nehemus – Smashed Knee (NI)
not much i can say really oz summed it all up with that stament.. thou i will say this .

DAMMIT you killed a 2 skill zombie!!!, sorry i must apoligize ive been carring that around with me for 24 hours now. :P, very good game thou i think OZ saw me down on positional players and tryed a score on Chaos warrior, only problem was its was blatently obvious.

3 pts NoUseLying , 2 cases that turned the game not so much as what they cased it was when they cased.

2pts ShoNuff, 28 rushing yards and all the time he was protected handled the pressure well.

1pt UnderAMountain 2 cases with only 4 blocks is a great game by any standards.

This games comes smack dab in the middle of the "forum manifesto" business..and there couldn't be a better example of the principles contained therein than this game!
Spart opened with doubleskulls/double skulls as his very 1st block! A lot of people might have dropped their bundle right there...but Spart knows better. In fact...I have long argued that if you ARE going to go skully it is better to do it early than late...and you will eventually see the truth of that.
He kept pressing the run and as can be the case with the Crowes...they kept missing the key hit. Had a chance to blow open the ball and only found push. IMO Spart made a dangerous decision on how to get clear..but it all worked out for him and he dodged thu the weak blocker for the score.
We Scored on a big pass play...should have been easier but his Ghoul came up and caused some trouble....then a zombie got jiggy and, as Crowe ball carriers are won't to do...fell over on first hit. But a rookie went nuts and threw the TD pass!
2nd half we receive and run it up the side. It could have turned into stall ball...but I don't believe in playing that way and the Undead had just enough weapons to keep us honest.
With 4 turns to draw, our defense had to be good. It wasn't. But this brings us to our key concept. We had a rookie goat who blitzed the ball....double skull. A hit would have been the game most likely....a push would have even caused trouble as we had numbers....but skulls were bad.
THEN the Ghoul in question swept wide...and while there had been an eerie amount of failed GFIs for them...suddenly they were making all the rolls.
Some poor full back work on our part, created by some clever work on Sparts part, allowed the ghoul to get wide and forward...but we still had a blitz. Same goat from 2 turns ago. Sure enough...double skulls again. Ghoul scores. Draw.

So. Was I dice raped? Or was it simply a good story...kid had 2 chances to impress and simply choked. Spart failed critical rolls...we made some hot rolls....spart made some hot rolls...we failed some critical rolls, All up about even in the "raped" dept...and so it shows on the scoreboard.
Did these events "ruin" the game?
Of course not! They define the game...as the dice always will...and I will forever argue that you craft the story to the players...not the dice...which leads me to this;

3pts: #7 Segdemious. the Ghoul in question. While the record shows he scored both TDs from deep sets...it does NOT show that he took 4 hits from a claw/rsc player and survived them all!

2pts: #1 Tussard. Mummy who caused all sorts of havoc on the line...and made the Mino look stupid in the end.

1pt: #9 Phaddon The zombie who almost ruined our day.

Great game Spart...thanks for being exactly what I ask for in a player. Always trying, always looking for ways thru...always knowing that no matter how bad your dice may be at the moment they can change...and also knowing that the other guy has to roll them too ;)
