“What a game. These two home town rivals have met many times before and the result is always close. The Lions have been the only one to capitalise and take maximum points.

This was forfont in their minds as they received the kickoff and proceeded to pummel the Collisions line. Before the undead could react two of them were in the casualty box, Crash Test would not return. He will also not recover for the next match. This is a big loss.

Rick Condor leisurely strolled down the flank as his team-mates bashed and blocked to ensure he wouldn't need to break a sweat. The Collision had their chance - one of two possible that could of seen a different result. Col Ission broke away from a tackler, thanks to fate, but needed only a pushback to strip the ball, he failed and came crashing down. A truly embarrassing blitz. Rick kept moving and easily stepped over the touchdown line, barely blowing hard.

This gave the Collision ample time to score, with barely just over half the clock expired. Their plan was to send a Wight down one wing and the ghouls down the other. The Lions fell for the decoy and moved to cover the ghouls. This was when Ed Oncrash made his move. He mightily blocked his opponent, stunning Bertram Rothchild, and badly hurting the second opponent that tried to cover him. Willem Garbaldy didn't know what hit him.

Ian Surance swung back with the ball as Ed Oncrash broke for the touchdown line. It looked good for the Collision as the Lions defense were all covering the ghouls on the far wing. Ian kept running and as Ed leaped into the TD zone, he threw the ball. This was the second chance for the Collision, but destiny wasn't on their side. Ian's throw was off target, and the siren sounded the half over.

The second half started with 3 of the Lions injured and out for the game. Two were there due to some violent, bone crunching hits thrown by Semi Trailer. He had been playing a great game and knew that he would have to stand up and cover the loss of the other mummy. So far he had done his job, and the second half would see him continue to do so.

Dirk Condor got into the game finally, but he must still have some feelings for the team he used to play for. His indicision on his first foul of the game drew the ref's attention and he was sent off. Thankfully his boot had done its job and Gerald Fitzgerald was carried off the ground.

Ian Surance needed to run deep to collect a well placed kick-off, and not liking his apparent vulnerability he decided to throw a long ball to his captain Fat Al. He had already forgotten his first throw of the game that saw the ball wizz into the crowd. This second throw was pin-point accurate and Fat Al collected it easily. This was a marvelous moment, and momentum was back with the Collision.

This wasn't going to be a dazzling drive, their would be no glamour in the way the Collision moved the ball forward. This was going to be their stock standard, slow grind down the field. Lead by Semi Trailer, who picked up another casualty, Fat Al was able to skip around behind his bigger team-mate, and at the penultimate moment, dodged away from the Lions defense and sprinted for the line. Memories of the last time these two teams met flashed across his mind. He remembered how terrible it felt when he crashed down, sprinting the extra distance when he was just about to score. Yet sprint he did.

This time glory would be Al's. The tying touchdown was carried over, and the Lions were left with not enough time on the clock to score a winner.
