“With the Woodies sitting on 7 points after three games this was a must win match. The Skinks have given the WDDs tough on the previous two meetings and this match was to prove no different.

Things started badly for the Woodies when Big Gay Al missed his second mathc in a row this time due to a virus he picked just before the match. The Men of Wood kicked of and got straight into things, Hutchy laying in the boot managed to get rid one of the Saurses. The Skinks as usual had the ball carrier very well secured and things looked to be quite evenly poised when the Ref decided it was his time to shine. Firstly he seemed to swollow his whistle whilst Pssqguiay was going to town on Neil George but then turned around and promptly sent Hutchy off for the same indiscretion. Fortuantly for the Woodies the 4th official intervend moments later and the little skink wa also ejected from the game.
This left a tiny little gap in the SS cage and Crowlock did not hesitate. Smashing Kin-ler-ay to the ground the ball was knocked free but only as far as Lssteeiay. Crowlock again managed to knock the ball free but this time was left a sitting duck on the sideline with seconds left on the clock. Lssteeiay showed great strength and skill to knock Crowie into the crowd, scoop up the ball and score just before the buzzer.

Half time and we had a game of 9-9. The Woddies did a simple shotgun offence and the Skinks did not really seem that interested trying to stop the score. Smoker J had plenty of time to pick out the Rainbow Warrior who made it 1-1.

With their season on the line the Men of Wood dug deep in an attempt to stop the Skink offence. Once again Crowlock was the go to man. As the Woody frontline held up the Saurus advance C.Lock manged to get the ball free from Kin-ler-ay. Even so the Skinks still looked to have things under control untill Kin started to suffer some side effects from the performance enhancing drugs he took pre game. He only managed to push the ball closer to Mr Murray who with a bit of help from the lads snuck in and tossed the pill out to Philberto who stormed away to give the WDDs a 2-1 lead.

The Slumberers were from giving up though. With little time on the clock they run the ball one way then the other. Some good hits by Tpzy and Klbll ended Philberto game even with the Medico staff stiching him up once. The Skinks looked to have the game sealed when once again Crowlock interveend. For the the 4th time in the match he knocked the ball free from Kin-ler-ay and Mr Murray rushed in from out of no where to pick up the ball and throw it down field and out of danger. With only moments left before full time it was just enough to stop the Lizzies from equalising.

The 2-1 win still leaves the Double Double with a chance at topping the group but they will need to put in a monster performance in theri next match.

2pts: Tpzy - Was the best of a very inexperienced Sauri line up.

1pt: Ksllsh - Helped set up the first TD and his tail was always a threat.
