“I was quite proud of my efforts in this game. Instead of making fancy plays, I mostly focused on caging and grinding down my opponent's team.
I use up 4 minutes on most turns. My opponent was annoyed by that and his bad luck and began pressuring me to "finish quickly" at a critical point in the game:: tied, late in the 2nd half, and I had the ball in my opponent's territory. I almost let him rattle me into blowing it, but managed to make a few key moves/rolls for the win.
I was annoyed by this experience. Opponent has played over 1000 games to my 20 but expects me to play as fast as he does. I guess some experienced players have no patience for newbs. Especially those who get "lucky".
“I did my best to be patient this game, but late in the 2nd half and almost 2 hours into the game i did ask my opponent to play faster, this was the longest in the over 1000 ranked games i have played.
My opponent used 4min or more for almost every turn. He was almost out of extra time from dipping into it many times. The game was pretty much impossible for me to win or even tie anyway.
I was annoyed by this experience. I did do my best to be patient and only politely asked if he could speed up after well over an hour and when the game was all but decided.
Best of luck westerner, you play extremely well. I just hope you can learn to play at a reasonable speed and stop using the emergency time to extend your turns.”
