#9 Iini Bloodblade – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#9 Iini Bloodblade – Smashed Knee (NI)
This was a typical game.
The dorfs do what the dorfs do (play boring and stall).
The rats do what the rats do (fanciful dodgy stuff and nearly steal the game against the odds).

Great play from Jezza and his team meant that this was nearly a draw.
The dorfs received and stalled out for a turn 8 TD. Injury time rolled back the clock so suddenly Jezza had a fair crack at a 2turn TD to equalise but a re-rolled 2 dice block meant an early turnover in his turn 7 and halted that plan (both rolls were skull/both down in a no block vs block engagement).

Second half the rats did their thing and scored but were forced to score early (turn 3) leaving the dorfs plenty of time to settle in for the ling march home. The rat defense was spirited and there were plenty of nervous moments including the turn 16 TD coming from a dodge and 2 GFI's.

The Stonemasons learned a real lesson in week 1 this season where they scored a second TD to take a 2-1 lead in the middle of the second half instea of stalling; with the idea of scoring a 3rd. The rats in that game stole an equaliser. Belvain have stalled ever since and are on the roll with 4 straight wins.
Its boring but it works!

3pt: #2 Hammer. St4 block guard rat who i always had my eye on. He is the only guarder in the rat team so i was always wary of his location; and he got the only cas.

2pt: #3 Quokkarocca: brave little rat... threw a couple of fouls and a few blocks then suicided himself in a failed block against a dwarf foe. A worthy opponent.

1pt: #4 Tunnels: I really expected to harm this little bugger but just couldnt get my hands on him enough. A constant threat.

#3 Quokkarocca – Dead (RIP)
The dwarves came out firing - and so did the fans. Quokkarocca was stunned on the kickoff, quickly followed by 2 rats leaving the field in the first turn. Ratta Louie failed a simple 2D block + reroll to give the dwarves ample time to set up their cage. This set a trend for the team with 43 blocks in the game resulting in 1 Casualty, 1 KO and 4 attacker down including a death. The better team won on the day and these dwarves should go far in Premier next season.
