The handicaps weren't great this match, and were made worse by a bug with resulted in Ironman going to a rookie catcher (i couldn't see which player i was selecting :() Other than that, though, things actually started reasonably well. Get the ref could have done a lot (but my DP hurt herself in the second turn and only got the one foul in), considering how many cas there were even without it, things might have been *very* nasty for the Skinks indeed. Anyway, we managed to get a touchdown, but were forced to score quite early. As a result, the skinks had little trouble equalising (well, a bit of trouble actually, but they did make it in the end).

Half time score: 1-1

Things went well and truly downhill in the second half. We were down to just 6 players, and had to kick. From here on in, it was pretty much a walkover, and the skinks were able to score two comfortable touchdowns taking an easy win. While I say "comfortable" there were a couple of skinks that found things a little less than comfortable - they'll be slumbering for a lot longer than their coach would like.

AG4 skinks are a pain at any time, and just when we thought we'd gotten rid of him, the apoth comes out onto the field and patches him up. It may have cost the team a player (or two), but it made it a lot easier for them to take the win.”
