In the match of the round, the Rats of Blackwater Blitz were ll set to take on the might of the Red Star Strikers. Both teams came into this match undefeated, the Blitz having three wins and a draw with four wins for the Reds.

After winning the toss and receiving, the Skaven side got the jump on the Reds. Maniacal Mikey had put Deng Xiaoping out of action for this week and probably the next, and Disco Dan scored before the Dwarves knew what happened! After the restart, the Dwarves looked to get aggressive, knocking out Two Can Sam and Shaky Steve, whilst getting rid of Backdoor Benny for the day. Angry Andrew was proving a handful, however, as he knocked the Chairman, Mao Zedong, out cold. Klaus Fuchs, enjoying the benefits of a Runesmith, carried t eball forward and was flanked by Vyacheslav Molotov, who belted Lucky Luke into the KO box. Angry Andrew badly hurt the hero of the last few weeks, Vladimir Lenin, and was looking very dangerous though Fuchs seemed to carry the ball unchallenged. The Dwarves were down to eleven fit players for the first time in a long time! Maniacal Mikey went after Fuchs eventually, but couldn't knock the agile Runner down. With his Speed Rune, the fans could be mistaken for thinking Fuchs played like one of his Skaven opponents! The focus of the Blitz turned to Fuchs, but the Reds weren't ready to score yet. Having put two of their Comrades into the Injured box, Angry Andrew was in their sights. Leonid Brezhnev built up a head of steam, and blitz Andrew out of the game. Karl Marx fouled Mikey in an attempt to get some retribution, but merely stunned the big Rat Ogre. The Reds were content to take a 1-1 draw int the long break, and Fuchs crossed the line.

Fuchs made a long pass to Ho Chi Minh to get the second half going. The Rats invited the Reds to come at them, which they did as Lavrenti Beria put Shonky Shameeta out of commission. Mikey retaliated by messing up Mao Zedong. Gougin' Geoff soon became another casualty, after a fierce Kliment Voroshilov bump. It seemed the Dwarves would be able to run down the clock, but a heroic blitz from RFG Dave. Ignoring the help from Ho Chi Minh's teammates, let alone Ho's immense strength, the Gutter Runner levelled the big man. Disco Dan went to gather the crumbs and had Quiet Mike open. Fuchs again decided it was time for heroism, leaping into the air and intercepting the pass before smashing Dan into the crowd! Fuchs scored again with almost no time on the clock. From the restart, a quick snap let the Skaven sneak ahead. Too far to run in a normal play, this little bit of cheating gave Quiet Mike an opportunity, which he took to level the score at 2-2 in the last possible second. Molotov and Brezhnev could only watch as the Gutter Runner strolled past them to score. A 2-2 draw and a lucky escape for the Rats. This result will leave the Strikers at the head of the table, and make the next few weeks very interesting indeed. With Mao and Deng missing next week, will the Reds have enough firepower to see off the Angry Asgardians?

3 - RFG Dave

If you only do one good thing in a match, make it a spectacular cage busting solo effort against a guy that's twice your size.

2 - Quiet Mike

Didn't get the three for his touchdown because it was extremely cheap. It can't be denied that his solo effort was the only thing that denied the Reds the win though.

1 - Angry Andrew

Dominated early. Perhaps too much, as he painted a target on his back.

(Thanks Chavo, was a very entertaining game.)
