So this player knows how to play very well, yet had no games here yet. I decided to try my almost-brand-new Khemri team. Despite my best efforts, by turn 2 he was already at an advantage deep in my zone. I miraculously managed to hang on (doing 1 RIP and 1 SI in the process) for a few turns until he scored. With 3 CAS in 4 turns, plus generally good rolls, I was having awesome luck.

Just pushing through his players to make a breach to move the ball through, I caused 2 KO and a SI, but ultimately failed my hand-off roll for the TD. Still 1-0 for him at half time, but he only had 7 players left (including one KO).

While getting the ball through, I got another SI along with 2 more KOs (one caused by himself) which left him with 4 turns, 4 players, and a score of 1-1. He retreated as far as possible and threw a long pass to conserve the tie, but to our immense surprise a skeleton (I shouldnt have tried that) jumped 20 feet high and grabbed the ball wit 1 hand. In the last turn I finally managed to get my skeleton to the end zone, causing a last SI in the process.

So I won 2-1, but really, I had incredible luck. Even more than that, most of his injuries turned out to be niggles, which I presume pretty much mangled his team. I am very sorry, and will now avoid taking such teams in opening games. Still, I want to thank him for being very nice and I'm sure I will enjoy playing him again (with another team).”
