For sure the worst loss of the franchise...but never seen a game in which you have to face such a glorious day for my opponent. We all know Stikki and his mastery in the elfbowl game (I think nobody uses the woodcatchers better than anybody), but he was helped by 3 blitz in his favour, a rock that hurted one of my best players, and some other things. I think that 7 TD in a game scored by a single player is not just a franchise record, but something worth on the Recordopedia Spluttanica. With just 8 players on the field I was unable to cover the ball and hold ground...and my opponent made more cas than me in 24 blocks without even a MB, vs my 2. Today everything (really everything) went good for Stikki, and everything went wrong for me. I'm really happy for him because I consider him a great one, but today I faced a real humiliation. At least another lino enrolled, no FF lost and a guard on my lineup make me hope in better days.

We arrived in a blizzard - which I hate because it ruins my passing game. Not a good start.

My first action is a blitz, so things are looking up. Blitzing wood elves are difficult to stop at the best of times and against a reduced team, almost impossible, so of course I get the ball.

Then there's a bit of balance to the luck as his evil blitzer kills my even-more evil wardancer with his first block of the game. 15 more turns without an apo does not look good...

But no need to worry as that was the last thing my opponent got to do successfully. The woodies proceeded to run rings round the darkies as if they weren't there, never failing a dodge, and hardly even needing to try.

The only disappointment was the lack of a pasing game, so happily the blizzard obliged by blowing itself away right as I was preparing to receive for the first time.

My second blitz came in there somewhere as well.

When my third blitz came along, I considered not taking it as it just seemed rude, but having been previously slapped on the wrist for being to kind to my opponents, I thought I ought to at least collect the ball and get ready for another TD.

And so it went on. I watched my opponent gobble his way through his rerolls like they were made of chocolate and still it did him no good. His tackling blitzer refused to roll anything but skulls and pushbacks and my rookie catcher continued to score every two turns.

Finally, the dark elves' misery came to an end and it was some small consolation that their fan factor stayed put. The woodies, of course, gained a fan factor and both the team's rookies got to skill up - the catcher getting a standard roll and a double!

Much credit to BVZRoma for taking such a game without a single complaint and still having the decency to say it was a pleasure at the end. I don't exactly believe him - I'm sure it was anything but pleasurable - but he is a good sport and I'm sure he'll get his revenge before too long.

Now off to restore some balance to my luck...
