Prematch reports indicated that there had been a bust up between Pirate Kennedy Moses and Thomas Cannonballs from the Buccaneers. With them refusing to be on the pitch at the same time it looked like an easy prospect for the Crusaders. Undeterred the Humans pressed the game from the get go, forcing the High Elves to advance up field and score quickly. On their drive, the Buccaneers launched a furious offensive down the flank, trampling Andrius Ellisan under foot. The Crusaders blitzed the ball carrier to no avail and as the Humans pulled away the High Elves settled for an audacious crowd surfing of Thomas Cannonballs. With the clock ticking away the Crusaders stormed down the flank, striving for the lead at half time. Some staunch defending from the Buccaneers almost tied the High Elf ball carrier, just yards away from the EZ, but Thomas Cannonballs couldn't live up to his "greatest" billing and the Crusaders took the lead into half time.

The Buccaneers continued the furious pace of their game with a quick penetrating scoring drive down the flank. The High Elves used the width of the pitch to keep the forward momentum of their return drive. Despite being undermanned the humans put in a real shift of dogged defending. With only minutes left on the clock Buccaneer Stutterin' Vinny Edwards stunned the much bigger Crusader Khianna Feliaitos and grabbed the spilled ball. But Nuffle was not on Stutterin' Vinny Edwards' side as the High Elf Roger I of Sicily dodged free of his marked to knock Stutterin' Vinny Edwards straight into the KO box. Pope Alexander II skipped away from Smugglin' Bryan Dread to grab the ball and score the winning TD.

It was a close game that went right to the wire. A couple of crucial rolls going differently could have completely changed the score. Well played GnW, gl in the rest of your matches.

Twahnlows:

3 Votes - Smugglin' Bryan Dread - A real pain defensively and scored a TD.

2 Votes - Stutterin' Vinny Edwards - A good player who almost denied me the winner.

1 Vote - Jelly Bones Maurice - Despite an early exit he put up some impressive rushing stats and scored a TD.

This was a frustrating game for the Buccs.

One of the things that LRB5+ handles very well is TR calculation taking into account MNGs.
In this game the Buccs had 2 mng but still gave away a handicap - which was "I am the Greatest". So starting the game the buccs had 10 players and an effective TR of 176..... this meant I was playing down 11TR and down 21+ TS (havent calced the TS drop due to handicap or mng).

As a result, despite feeling that I played well, this match was never really in doubt.

Votes
3: Roger I of Sicilty - the elves only tackler who troubled the Buccs star catcher all game.
2: Weyath Cerathalous - Only cas for the elves
1: Timiran Baetem - one of the many +ST and used it well with plenty of blocks.
