“Martha's Kitchen suffered from chronic luck in this game. After a normal first half, they came down with a case of almost exclusive 6s, knocking the crap out of the chunderers with pow upon pow upon pow. (Did I mention that they rolled lots of pows?)
Even the fouling was effective, taking one of the minos out of the game. Beyond the blocks/fouls and injury rolls, Martha's boys managed what amounted to a 2-turn score, taking the ball from deep in their own end and with the help of a pass, a couple of hand-offs, and some GFIs despite some ice, taking it a good 3/4 of the field (never seen MV 5 hapless flings do that before).
If Martha's Kitchen suffered from chronically good luck Chunderers basked in the glow of an endless stream of skulls--although I have to admit one of their little fellas did down a mino unassisted. A -3d block, haven't seen that many explosions in such a small space since July 4th.
--gg graeme, at least there was only one permanent injury”
