“How quickly the mighty can fall. The Dragons walk into the stadium for this match as one of the favorites to win the Veteran division this season. They limp out just hoping to not be retired.

It started out well enough. Altmer took the kickoff and worked their way downfield, eventually scoring on turn 5. The Rotters got a quick snap on the kickoff and quickly caged up at midfield. Bishop Pussbearer was a bit anxious, looking for a few cas, and ventured a bit too far from the rest of the team. The Dragons saw their opportunity and quickly took him out of the game with a boot to the tentacles.

The Rotters tried to skirt the group of elves cheering at midfield, but in doing so left an opening on the ball carrier. The elves took advantage, knocked the ball free and grabbed it for themselves. The Rot recovered quickly, and a blitz by the beastman Human Basher killed an elf catcher and ended with him on the receiving end of a game tying td as the half ended.

The RIP on the catcher opened the flood gates for the second half. Xyon received and the Faithful Rot marched their way downfield inflicting 2 BH and 2 RIP in 6 turns. The Dragons were down to 4 elves left on the field when they noticed that the Rot had left a gap in their cage. Gondir mustered up his courage and charged in, coming up with a huge -2d knockdown of the ball carrier. The ball ended up just outside of the cage, where Rumir the thrower picked it up and tossed it downfield to the waiting catcher Nargil.

With the game essentially over at this point, all the Rot could do is take out their frustrations on the few remaining elves on the field. One more BH and one more RIP and the game ends, 2-1 in favor of the elves.

Altmer will have 6 players take the field against a quality human team next week, where they will be just hoping to make it through unscathed. What started as a good looking squad has now entered rebuilding mode.
