“The lads have perhaps doomed themselves and gotten off to a season with a win! Only once before have they managed that....and things went downhill right after.

After the rebuilding last season, its good to see they haven't lose their style or their knack. Their positional play in the first half set the game up with a stalled 8 turn td, though that was partially helped by the defiler's frenzied urges to foul and plan for one-turners. Second half, their star, Archaic Angstrom finally showed his potential and effectively wrapped the game up for them with some stellar leaping. At 2-0 up, it looked like an easy finish from there, but they slipped up the cover defence and let the dark elves through too easily for their first td. With two turns to go and the dark elves lifting, the fury of the attack almost sealed them an unlikely draw - came right down to the whistle!

3pts : Galazian - pulled off the most stylish move in the final countdown to give his side some hope - a 5+ dodge into the thick of it, a roaring 2d against block against a S4 beast with seekers all around and the ball spilled from Netherborn's hands to give the Defiler's a chance.

2pts: Hezekia - ultimately paid for his efforts, but with his sidestep, he was a continual nuisance.
