“We're up against Canales' slann team. Both teams have just 11 players with one journeyman each so injuries will be important from the start here.

We receive first and KO two froggies on T1, though we fumble the pickup with a hobgob. They counter with their kroxi BH'ing a dwarf on his first block as they rush players towards the ball. T2 and we fumble again while on T3 a blocking turnover stops us trying. Meanwhile they have given us two quick turnovers and on T4 our rookie centaur finally says enough is enough and grabs the ball and runs it to the halfway line and then into their half the next turn.

Two linefrogs leap out of our line and 1d blitz him over for a stun, while on our turn we get a hobgob sent off stunning one of their catchers. They throw players around the ball and we just can't get at it before the half time whistle blows.

2/3 of their KOs wake up so we are kicking with 9 vs 10.

We kick and they swarm down one side with the ball, leaping out of the way of our players to eventually make it 1-0 on turn 4 without much trouble at all. Both their KOs wake up so we've 9 vs 11... even a draw is going to be difficult here!

We pickup with our rookie centaur first time, but straight away we're feeling outnumbered and have trouble getting through with it. Finally on T7 we can rush him alone to within range of their endzone. They get players beside him but then fail the leap to blitz him... we have to go for the 4+ dodge here... and he makes it with the RR!!

1-1 and a turn left each... they make the 4 blocks they need to chainpush their catcher within range of our endzone... but then roll a 1 trying to pick up the ball... phew!
