“114 blocks, 7 casualties, and they were all badly hurt. Nuffle smiles today!

Throughout the game, Shrieking Bloodstorms block advantage showed through - KO's and Badly Hurts appeared all over (to the point that by the end of overtime, Nelphine was not only singing 'another one bites the dust' to himself, he was singing it out loud for all in the game to hear!) But only in overtime did this turn into a number's advantage as Varuna Dentata (rightfully) brought 16 players to the Tournament.

Kicking off in the first half, Shrieking Bloodstorm managed to blitz the Norse ball carrier, and steal a late goal; combined with a good start to the second half, this seemed to seal the win. But the Norse had other ideas, and started taking out every single skink on the pitch, ending with Greydog fleeing down one wide zone chased by several Saurus and Krronk; the lizardmen were even able to take the big Norse down several times, but with almost no skinks available, they were never able to pick the ball back up, and so the dauntless runner simply got back up, grabbed the ball, and kept running, until finally he achieved the coveted tie-inducing turn 8 touchdown!

Overtime, and again the Norse recieve.. unfortunately, Tcaloc continues his rampant spree of KO's, and what starts as a 9 lizard vs 8 norse, quickly spirals into a 9 lizard vs 5 norse. And with an extremely well placed kick, right on the edge of the bleechers, the Norse were unable to retrieve the ball before all the benched Skinks from the second half were harassing them and preventing a pick up. Once the scrimmage line was free, and the Saurus could blitz the few Norse guarding the ball, the ball was kicked into center field where the Lezzat (on the bench for the entire first two halfs) was free to grab it and run in the winning touchdown, netting him his 4th MVP in the last 8 games!

Ssska was the only cold-blood to learn anything during this game. Watching all the Norse Tackle skinks with ease, Ssska decided that Tackling would be an awesome skill in the inevitable match-ups vs elves that would be arriving later in the tournament.
