“The Lab rats won the toss and elected to receive, they ran with an odd offence straight off the bat - getting a lot of players through the line but leaving the ball carrier open to being blocked. A wild Bull Centaur took down the ball-carrier and the Temps even got a few players around it, but the hobbo inevitably failed the pub, and the ball bounced out to land in only 1 TZ. Which the Rats took without blinking and ran-off for a quick score. By this stage they had already BH a blocker too! The Temps ran in a quick 2-turn TD in response thanks to a great kick result, but paid for it in another BH player (my god, the Temps put together a play! and it worked!!).
The Rats had problems when their Gutter Runner fell-over on a GFI and got KO'd! this left the ball in the open and a Bull Centaur was able to pound his hooves over to it - unfortunately couldn't pick it up tho! The rats easily picked it up in 1 tackle-zone and with the hand-off successful, the line-rat was off too fast to catch.
With 2 turns to respond, the Temps desperately tried to score, but with some fast blitzing Skaven causing problems, it all came down to the hobgoblin pass - with predictable results. End of half, down 1-2.
The Temps received, and despite a tumultuous half for both sides with Nuffle being very fickle (double one's and double skulls galore) they managed to score.
The Rats received again and ran straight forward leaving their ball-carrier exposed, with a simple blitz the Temp's had the ball free and reasonably surrounded.. (A few KO's and injuries finally starting to favour the Temps)
Until a wild Gutter Runner appeared! PuB in 2 TZ's, dodge away and the ensuing blitz against him by a blocker? 1 rr 1 on the GFI.
Final score 2-3 and the Skaven take it.
