Rats started with the ball, and pushed the ball quickly - we were content if they scored fast, and pressured them, pinned to the sideline, the rats messed up the dodges and had to get some good dice - rerolling some pushes to open a crack and score to make it 0-1 after 2 turns. Opponent complained he was running low on rats (he started next drive with more players than us).

We were down players at this point and tried to bash and shift forward. However, being outnumbered (we only broke armor twice in first 5 turns - both stuns) we had to expose our ballcarrier...still it required some dodges past tackle and multiple gfis just to get a 1d blitz off (5+)...but it worked (no RR needed) and the ball was free - still we had a chance to recover, but failed pickup and RR. Then rather than protecting the gutter runner, the rats handed off the ball, we had a 2d until a linerat did some dodging and 2 more gfi to make it only a 1d blitz. Our blitz failed and RR was skull. The rats scored to make it 0-2 after 7 turns. Opponent complained he was running out of rats (he was *gasp* down to only 11 rats...1 had been badly hurt).

We still had two turns and a touchback gave the ball to our bull who raced forward gfi'ing to be only 6 spaces from the endzone. we then pinned as many of the rats as possible. With no RR, we hoped they would fail a dodge since we had tackle on them. However, the rats made the dodges to get a 2d blitz off. The blitz knocked down our bull - stunned him as well...then more 1d and -2d blocking gave the ball to the rats. The half ended 0-2. Opponent complained he was running out of rats (he only had 10 for second half because his KO did not wake up!).

Second half, we knew we had to score quick. Finally after being worried all game about being low on rats - we decided to actually knock out a few rats and started fouling as well. We finally hurt a few rats and even had the AG 5 gutter runner foul a hobgoblin and get ejected. We scored in 2 turns to try to put the pressure on. KOs did not come back - so we had a nice advantage in numbers with the score 1-2.

With only 5 rats for the drive (3 KOs, 3 CAS, 1 ejected), they had to just pass and run a gutter runner deep downfield with no protection. We had the no gfi needed 3d blitz on the GR - so with RR 6 dice to knock him down...if we did - a good shot at the draw...but complete fail - and the GR walked in for the score: 1-3. Opponent complained about being short rats and all the damage he was taking.

We tried to score quickly to get an outside chance at a draw, but failed the handoff with RR. Then failed the pickup with RR. Time dragged on - finally on the last turn, we got the ball back and passed it up to our CD blocker who needed 1 gfi to score. He failed the gfi - died with apoth failing. Opponent complained about all the damage we did to his team...
