A game of mixed luck for the Vipers.

Started badly - the dorf kickoff landed on LOS at the feet of a blocker.
Then the vipers suffered Quad skulls to end the turn and gift the ball to the dorfs.

By turn 4 the dorfs had the ball and the Vipers had used all 3 RR, suffered 2 turnovers and lost the AG5 leap cagebreaker to a BH.
Things looked grim.

Then a failed dorf GFI opened things up. The witch elf managed two 2d against blocks on the ball carrier, ending with a pow - leaving the DE to scoop and scoot for the first TD.

The dorfs had 2 turns before half time to try to equalise but couldnt manage to do so.

Second half the Vipers had only 7 players and were playing for a draw.
The Vipers ST4 player was KO'd early in the first half and failed 4 KO rolls - never returning to play. The Witch Elf failed 3 KO rolls and only returned late in the match.

Then the Wizard knocked over all 3 targeted played including -ST to a longbeard and Stunning the ball carrier. The elves scooped up the ball and went downfield to delay some turns and score.

Late score by the dorfs made things look respectable but the match was really decided by two key turns that fell the Vipers way.

Votes:

3- #3 the AG4 ball carrier gives the Dorfs a much needde dimension
2- #10 took an intercept that probably avoided a 3-0 result
1- #1 jump up was handy a couple of times

#8 Mansour bin Abdullah al Marzouqi – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
A'Salaam Ali'kum, kefahallak.

After the breaking of the fast at Suhoor, we welcomed Coach White and his Vipers to our majlis where we sat and shared a shisha as we spoke of the stories of the season so far.

Al'humdilllah, it was told that the Bedouin's could claim the inaugural Premier League with a victory on this fair day in'sha'allah and that anything less would see the vile beastmen of Morte Volente take the trophy a'masha'allah!.

Coach White was clear, he was happy for the noble Bedouins claim the title but he was not going to ask his team to lay down under the desert sandals.

And nor would we want that, and as we tossed the silver dirham we agreed that this match would be played to the fullest.

However, a shadowy figure in a dark cloak sat at the edge of the Maglis and his tale would be told later al'humdil'allah.

The game began well with the kick short the ball rested on the line and the journey men dark elves looked scared that they would have to take on a four man dwarven line. The play broke down and Faoud bin Basir al Maktoum grabbed the ball and the roll was on.

But disaster struck when Khalid bin Nazir fell over and left Faoud exposed and he was struck down in a frenzied attack from the Witch - a'masha'allah!

Despite a last minute dive, the Vipers took a surprising lead.

And that lead held until half time.

In the majlis, Captain Faoud exuded his brothers to pray hard for Allah would not desert them al'humdil'allah and that could make the two scores required.

With the restart, Hazem bin Khalifa took the kick and the rain started to pour down and things looked grim.

Hazem beat one sidestepping Dark Elf and made yards up field crossing the half way line as his Bedouin brothers punched holes seemingly at will. With just 7 Dark Elves left, it looked like the game would be tied, but then that shadowy figure stepped forward and the fire exploded around Hazem.

A'masha'allah! What devilry and the ball was spilled and despite the rain and the presence of Bedouin defenders, the ball was passed out wide and the game, and the title was gone...

Disappointed, but unbowed, the Bedouins scored a rapid touchdown to keep the Vipers honest, but the first taste of defeat in 14 games was hard to accept.

Next season!

TWAHNLOWS:

3pts - Ubihitad Underthief - The Witch was threw a double-pow up hill block to knock the ball out and ended the season for the Bedouin. Fend / Sidestep was also incredibly annoying!

2pts - Duane Hideouspike - Guarding elf scored a TD and was on field the whole game. The guard popped up at all the crucial blocks.

1pt - Nitfo Ragewing - Another sidestepper that stopped the Bedouins getting a roll on.
