“Calib was on fire with 3 CAS (1 of whom didn't regen), and Finka got a good foul in at the end of the game on Miles Teg (he got better). The Corinth Rock Raiders brought the pain, but it was Feyd-Rautha who left a lasting impression on Gurgur Tak Bak, recruiting him to join the forces of Dune before taking an early exit at the hands of Calib. Still, the Charnelhouse gang scored off an early Blitz! kickoff and it was enough to hold onto victory. The orcs threatened the ball several times in the 2nd half, even ending up with it once, but the undead got it back and were 1 gfi away from scoring a 2nd in T8. Once again, Gurney showed his penchant for 1s when we were out of rerolls. 2 games ago it was a failed dodge (that one actually had a reroll), last game a failed pass, and this game a failed gfi. All very simple 2+ rolls, all too difficult for Gurney to handle. Clearly Gurney will only succeed at difficult tasks, like evading half the Raiders in the 1st half for a late score. At least he didn't hurt himself in the process.
Thanks for the fun game, Donny. Your POWs and Fouls were better than mine, but my speed was a bit too much for your boyz to handle. Good luck with the team, and catch you soon for a rematch.
Update: With Feyd-Rautha missing next game, we're gonna give Gurgur Tak Bak a tryout. On the LOS of course. But if he impresses us, he just might make the permanent squad. Sadly, this ends Feyd's perfect record of playing every game. Only 7 players left with a perfect record.
Heh, I just noticed that Gurgur had exactly 2 turns and 1 Block for each side. Orcish symmetry or coincidence? hmm....”
