“Back-to-back wins for the Norse of Morituri. This was a fun game that probably should have ended in a 2-2 draw. In T7 I was messing with the ballcarrier and accidentally stepped into the endzone. I meant to sit on the goal line for 1 more turn, then thought about stepping back 1 square and went forward instead. The Flings had 1 turn left to try a TTM score, which they had a beautiful one in T8 of the 1st half. I even only had 9 players left on the pitch and set up a feeble defensive picket 7 squares back from the LOS. Then 2 things happened: 1) the kick was dangerously short on the LOs, unlike my previous 2 kicks which had both been in the endzone and the first went out of bounds; 2) I got a Blitz! result on the kickoff. Not only did I knock a halfling down standing next to 2 trees, but I managed to get my Ag4 Lineman under the ball and he caught it! That was pretty much that.

This game also marked the 25th game for the Black Watch, and saw the emergence of 2 Stars finally: Sven and Olaf. It also saw Hanz get the MVP for the 2nd game in a row. Eric tacked on 3 fouls, none worse than Stuns that I remember, but none got him ejected (he was fouling Trees mostly). Frik managed to get his first CAS (and first SPPs for that matter) and fouled a fling off the pitch but got himself tossed too.

Damage to the Flings was remarkably light, though the dead fling stole the MVP :( I hate when that happens. There was also an extra BH from a failed dodge and quite a few KOs at various times including the S7 Tree at the end of the game (thanks to Buliwyf). The flings had 1 foul and it was promptly ejected for a stun.
