“After losing their opening couple of games the vamps were determined to show what they were made off, and not by spilling their insides onto the pitch for a change.
Against a hostile crowd the vamps elected to receive and scored quickly. Best way to quiten down a hostile environment, apart from tearing into the necks of a few supporters that is.

The pact team received but the vamps worked their hypno magic to ghost into the backfield and force a turnover. The ball fell kindly allowing the vamps to go 2-0.
The pact quickly regrouped to score and go into the second half 2-1.

Now some say they saw a thrall sneaking some whiskey into the pact's drinks others that the vampires had worked some hypnotic magic over the troll and ogre but the second half proved the turning point. Turn after turn the big guys forgot where they were and what they were supposed to be doing. The rest of the pact team fought on bravely but a failed blitz by their ball carrier popped the ball free allowing the vamps to regain possesion. The pact ogre blasted forwards and stunned Duke McBighty. The ball spilled towards the vamps end zone and the crowd sensed an equaliser. Thrall Ewen had different ideas. He scooped up the ball and launched a long pass to his team mate Jock who'd snuck into the pact half. With the pact team occupied in attack Jock lept to snatch the ball from the air and ran in the vampire's 3rd td to seal the game.

The vampire's coach must have got his team talk / medication just right as no blood lust hampered the match whilst the pact's big guys reliablity was seriously called into question.”
