“Dwarven Honor won the coin toss and chose to receive. They corralled the Death Valley Daze players into one big clump in the beginning. It would have worked against a lesser team but DVD had two Legendary Mummies anchoring their defense. Behind the power of those two, they broke the Dwarven line and separated the guarding Longbeards. Gilius ran up the right side of the field and closed in on the end zone as his teammates fought the battle in the trenches. DH did enough to keep the Undead forces busy that Gilius was able to run in the score to end the first half.

DVD received in the second half and they put together their own attack. Their forces went up the left side of the field with their Superstar Wight, Anthony alan Landers II, spearheading the charge. Snorri Nosebiter and a couple Dwarves met the charge head on and pushed the offense back. Snorri was taken down a turn later and a Zombie tried to put the finishing boot on the downed Slayer. The Zombie fell apart before he could get to Snorri and that left the door open for DH. Snorri would get up and slam the Undead ballcarrier to the ground causing a fumble. Thork caught the ball but he had nowhere to go.

Thork tried going along the left sidelines but it got crowded there in a hurry. Two Undead players where shoved out of bounds but it cost DH the ball. The crowd threw it in a bad spot for DVD. All DH had to do was cover up the ball as the time ran out in regulation.
