“It had been a long time since Trxxl had left the dug out. Even as players were getting hurt, coach had refused to send for the apothecary. Rather watching his guys stay hurt than use the physio to try and patch them up. During these games Trxxl had spent his time hitting on the Plagueship's cheerleaders, the Plague Bearers. Now, most of them would only let the team's stars take them out for dinner and enjoy the happy endings, but Trxxl was a determined young elf. He noticed Taryna, the newest of the Plague Bearers. She was a useless cheerleader, but followed the game intensely. Making a note of plays and making every hit herself. Trxxl, started talking to her like he would the assistant coach. From his conversation he found out that Taryna had joined the Plague Bearers in an attempt to make it onto the team. After weeks of small talk, Trxxl finally convinced her to go out on a date with him.

On their first date, Trxxl, claimed that using his connection to the coach he would get her on the team. He just needed the right opportunity to do so.

A couple of weeks later, BandageBondage, the hard hitting Khemri team came to town. The game kicked off, and as the the first drive took shape, Llotia, the veteran witch elf took a death blow from the very first hit of the match. Down she went in a crumpled heap. Coach screams for Trxxl to get on the pitch and patch her up.

"Sure thing," says the apothecary with a glint in his eye.

Seeing his opportunity he runs onto the pitch, as he gets alongside Llotia, her body in a heap on grass. From his boot he pulls out his blade and thrusts it deep into Llotia's body. Blood pumps out of the wound.

He looks over at the coach, hiding his knife back in his boot. "Sorry coach, she was too far gone."

Coach turns away and re-focuses on the game. Which sees the Plagueship run out 3-1 winners, but sees four others get badly hurt along the way as the BondageBandage lay the smack down on the Plague.

Trxxl having done his duty, moves up next to the coach. "Hey boss, I've got a replacement for Llotia." And introduces Taryna to the coach.

Taryna, looks the slender cheerleader up and down. Picks up a spare ball and throws a perfect spiral to her. With a simple grace matched only by wood elf catcher's, Taryna leaps into the air and plucks the pigskin out of the air with one hand, while holding off an overly keen supporter, before landing on her feet with a perfect pirouette.

"See you on Monday girl," barks the coach before striding off into the bowls of the Plague Arena.

A beaming Trxxl strides up to Taryna.

"I told you I'd get you on the team babe."

Eyes steeling over, Taryna looks Trxxl in the eye and says: "Yeah, thanks, but now I've got what I want, I best get back to my boyfriend and tell him the good news."

With a quick spin, she turns heels and jogs towards the changing rooms, leaving a furious Trxxl in her wake. Furious, Trxxl starts to chase after her, he grabs her arm and she laughs wickedly.

"Did you really think a bloodbowl player would date an apothecary?! Hahaha!!"

And just like that, she is gone.

Trxxl, cursing and furious, vows to get his revenge. Turns to go and get his box of medicine, only to find the team laughing at him.

"Struck out again, eh?" laughs Ereinion, as the team disappear down the tunnel for their post game debrief.”
