“Matchday saw the Plagueship's fans streaming into the ground for what was anticipated to be a foul smelling match. Today's opponents where Feed the Beast, a notorious tentacled team, who loved nothing more than to hold their opponents close as they pounded upon them.

The referee tossed the coin, and before it hand landed he had passed out from the repulsive odour emanating from the Beast's front line. As the ball bounced out of the incapacitated umpire's hands, the elves refused to get close to the ball and the LOS due to the pungent aroma and so was the kick off decided.

In what is becoming a standard play in coach's playbook, the Plague scored a quick two turn touchdown, hoping to leave plenty of time for a turnover. As Feed the Beast received, Psycopathic Pulse is left on his own to tie up the middle of the field and Yolanda takes the opportunity to blitz a small gap through into the Beast's half. She is followed through by Aras and before coach Largo has a chance to make any changes there are four elves in the Beast's half.

Rather calmly Dead to the World makes a short pass to Science, but there is an opportunity for a hit on the ball. Findecano sees his chance and goes to dodge away from human wreckage, but Human Wreckage sticks out a boot and trips the stripballer (for a KO) before he can get away. Just like that the chance is gone.

A surf opportunity is missed as a blitz throws up both down and the beast rolls an inopportune first really stupid. Feed the roll up the pitch, but there is another opportunity for a hit on the ball, but yet again a failed dodge denies the Plague. Science strolls in for the equalising score.

The second half starts with a the Plague again trying to pop a gap in the Beast's lines, but this time they fail the relevant block. Not to be put off, Aras, dodges through tacklezones to get a hit on the ball carrier, but only succeeds in pushing him on the 1D block. More failed blocks and it looks like the an easy 2-1 win for Feed the Beast as Amras fails a hero blitz 5+ dodge.

With time running out, another foul to keep Amras on the floor is spotted by the umpire, with elves in a position to hit the unprotected ball carrier, the Nurgle wizard, who until now has been twiddling his thumbs, casts a weak fireball that can only knock over two Plague players. A 1D POW free's Yolanda for a blitz, after Taryna (the debutant witch) dodges clear of the beasts tents to set up a 2D hit. Bang - out pops the ball and Taryna grabs it. One turn to survive.

Two blocks later and she is on her back, but as she falls she places the ball in Human Wreckage's hands who has just moved up to support the block. With Feed the Beast out of options, the game drifts to a draw.

After the game, the Naggarond TV interview the coach.

"I can't believe we escaped with a draw from the match. At times the tentacles had us so pinned down that I thought we would definitely lose the game. I've never seen the (tentacles) be so successful. In the first half, we failed so many it was as if the boys wanted to stay next to their repugnant warriors."”
