“Game 97 - The Dragonriders inch closer to their landmark 100th game with an entertaining match against Emeric's Hard Landers Slann team.

The Dragonriders opt to receive and set up a double layer screen on the sideline. A switch to the opposite flank, leaves the ball carrier exposed, but the Landers, are unable to capitalise. They get a second shot though as a failed block (skull bothdown) is rerolled into double skulls.

This time they sack the ball carrier but the chance to secure the ball is gone after a failed dodge gives the 'riders the chance to open the scoring.

The Landers drive down one flank, but a successful sack of their ball carrier gives the 'riders an opportunity. However, with the ball free both teams snake ball handling rolls, and the ball bounces into a Javier Sotomayor's mitts who is able to streak away for the equalising score.

With the scores level at the half, the Landers receive to start the second period.

The first casualty finally comes in turn two of the second half as Elessar Telemnar finally puts his Mighty Blow skill to good use in his seventh game since getting the skill, ironically, Mighty Blow would have made no difference to the outcome.

A 4+ dodge, enabled the Dragonriders once more to sack the ball carrier, only for the attempted pass to be intercepted by Javier Sotomayor (his first ever interception and all down to Pass Block) and he darted away for his and the team's second touchdown.

2-1 down with six turns to play, the Dragonriders had it all to do. A snaked Landers dodge enabled a quick two turn score, meaning all three results were still achievable after Findecano Sirfalas danced into the endzone to complete his own brace of touchdowns.

The babes work their magic, and we had 11 vs 11 going into what was likely to be the game deciding drive, with the Hard Landers receiving.

With the POWs flying in on both sides, the Dragonriders popped the ball free, using their own leaper, but the ball bounces the frogs way and the elves are unable to secure it. The Hard Landers pick up the loose pigskin, but don't have the position to cage the carrier. Rumil Anaclime's seizes the opportunity and knocks down ball carrier, this time thought it lands straight into the hands of Brienne Seismicriy who dashed for the line. An uphill blitz from the Landers resulted only in a double push and a quick block later opens the path for the Dragonriders to score the winning touchdown.
