“The Creepers skulked onto the field for their first ever match! And up against them, the horrific Nurgle Soldiers!
The Creepers set up for a very aggressive defense; a pitch invasion came and smashed down.. one entire rotter. Dull. But the kick was a brute force massive thing that ended in a touchback, which defeated the aggressive defense. However, the Soldiers were forced onto the sideline, and quickly pinned; a daring blitz by a zombie (including 4 gfi's and a wight dodge, and a team re-roll) took down the pestigor ball carrier, and The Wind grabbed the free ball and darted into the Soldiers side of the pitch - only to trip on his own feet!
However the daring play was not without cost; no less than 5 Creepers were smashed, crowd surfed, and fouled off the pitch - only to pass every single regeneration roll! With the Rotter Jens Alline banned for his poor foul on The Wind, the Soldiers simply did not have the ball handling to get the ball back - despite the supreme effors of John Malcoin, Beast extraordinaire, and his unheard of 3 successful blocks (all knock downs) with no one to assist him.
In the second half, both sides set up 11 v 11; the Soldiers opted for a classic central defense, and a perfect defense allowed them to crowd the ball. But The Wind again made snagging the ball look easy and moved it to the other side of the pitch; when suddenly Dark Creeper the Mummy quad double downed as the first action of a turn (the coach was SCREAMING for other people to stand up first, but none of the Creepers listened). Disaster loomed!
But the Soldiers lack of re-rolls finally struck, with multiple snake eyed blocks, and failed dodges leaving them unable to prevent The Wind and Dark One from escaping to safety in the backfield to win 1-0. Dark One also racked up 2 casualties, both from Rotters who rolled snake eyes or double double downs when trying to block him.
The Creepers steal away the victory, but vow they will return to the pitch to make a true name for themselves.”
