Match #11 for Stable Cavetroll (match #4 for Quixotic [L]eague)
The rodent heroes of Paragon City took on the villainous (misunderstood according to them) dark elves of Ser Arten's homeless vagabonds. Valiant Quixotes vs. Disgraced Knights, an epic battle of monumental proportions. The entire game was very nip and tuck for both teams. My rodents were getting some very rotten cheese on the early dice, but for the most part they weren't actions that mattered. Failing to stop the score in the 1st half, the heroes stuck kept their chins up and their whiskers clean in the second half. They got their opportunity when they got back-to-back casualties in T3 & T4, forcing the dastardly darkies to push for an early score before they ran out of players. Deathgrin Jester attempted to trip up Windfire but he got away easily. However, Windfire couldn't resist the chance to mock the Jester and didn't see Black Horse stick his sword out to trip him up. Wait, what? Black Horse had a sword on the field? I meant to say his... leg. He stuck his LEG out and tripped Windfire. The ball landed within easy reach of Captain Kinetix who scooped it up and took it all the way to the First Bank of Atlas City for the win \o/
The fans were a little stingy with the money though, so the team is unable to make any immediate improvements. Fortunately they don't need any right now so we'll await our next mission against whoever next threatens the safety of Paragon City.
Tilting for Justice... and Cheese!
Footnote
These teams faced each other in a previous tourney. Nuffle's influence was rather heavy-handed then and now. Proving that he is truly fickle and not worthy of praise or admiration.”
