#4 Ah Jong – Groin Strain (MNG)
Taking part in their first ever ARR match, Murder Inc drew the necromatic team Wolves Are Coming.

A small string of bad luck kept the assassins from stealing the ball and scoring in the first half. Three times, they had a shot at stealing the ball. The first two threw skulls. The final one saw the ball come lose but the toss to a catcher was intercepted by a marked zombie. had the catcher caught the pass and dodged successfully he probably would have scored in the final moment of the half. Still, Nuffle was kind and saw the zombie fail to hand off to a wight that would have easily scored. A frustrating first half, but Coach Kondor was content with the results.

The second half saw only 8 elves answer the bell. They were well marked and Coach Simme played some excellent defense. About midway through the half the elves went for broke with a catcher breaking into the clear. The golem made a pair of GFIs to bring down the catcher. It was looking bad. The thrower Mr Shhh blitzed hoping to knock a wight into the ball and give the catcher hope for recovering but only succeeded in knocking both himself and the zombie to the ground.

Now it was easy. The elves were in no position to stop the Necromancers from picking up the ball and scoring at their leisure. But wait...hope remains. The first undead block of their turn rolls skulls and no rerolls left to save them. Michael is freed by Vincent Vega to get to the endzone. El Mariachi who would have been the goat of the match redeems himself by running into a tackle zone, scooping up the ball, dodging away and throwing an accurate long pass to Michael Sullivan for the go ahead score.

Still, the Wolves had two turns to score. The kick is short allowing an easy pickup by a wight. Then the Wolves do the unexplainable. They put one wolf barely within scoring range and choose to blitz an insiginifacant elf with the other. The final play by the elves was simple. Knock down the threatening wolf and wait for the clock to run out.

Game over. Win to the elves due to odd luck on both side of the ball and a couple of errors.

The ARR sprint was well underway.
