Spartacus started off by badly hurting a thrall and sure handed Velocidad moved into a cage. But Xander, a thrall, barged a skink aside and lunged next to Velocidad. Several Lizards advanced forward and Superiore did a great hit to send a Vamp to the apo. Then Velocidad just needed to dodge away to get our drive into the opposition half. But Xander tripped him over and the skink thudded heavily to the floor. He seemed to be in serious trouble and the apo rushed to save him. But the apo soon pronounced him dead! A shock and in the meantime Duke Silvester had taken the ball and advanced to the corner to score a defensive TD.

At kickoff the Vamps blitzed forward. Spartacus again showed his power by injuring another thrall though Diablo, the Krox, seemed to be struggling and was even taken down and stunned by thralls. Outeiro took the ball up a flank but the Duke dodged in and smashed him down while Lord Gorgo drank a snack. But saurii took the Vamps down and Outeiro regained the ball and scored. 1-1.

Second half the Lord Gorgo fumbled the ball but he just managed to get it away to the Duke before we could get to him and suddenly they were through our centre. It seemed to be lost as we flailed around but the Vamps thirst came upon them. Our chance had arrived! A chance to blitz down the carrier for a saurus. To have skink assist and pickup options we needed the loner to dodge out and dash to the carrier. Alas he tripped right next to the Vamp! He of course didn't care about yesterday's team training advice and fell heavily. What a steal chance gone and the Duke sauntered off to confirm victory. Spartacus had caused 3 casualties this match but two pathetic takedowns suffered against single thralls in the last quarter let us down.”
