“Fumbbl Cup - Round 3

A tough game as always against Jock, who normally seems to get the dice on me, but not today.

Nurgle received first and tried to quickly remove players. Seeing his chance Jock launched an early Wizard into action and took down the ball carrier, but the Nurgles replied in kind and took down the Necro carrier. A few turns later and the Necro numbers had dwindled leaving the Nurgle to walk down field (with couple of minor scares) for 1-0. Necro's lined up looking for a OTS but the Nurgle kicker did his job well and from then it looked unlikely.

Second half didn't start well for the Nurgles as the Necro's flanked them. The Nurgles tried to recover, but nothing ever quite worked, so the Necro's stalled out the half for 1-1 at full time.

Into overtime and the Nurgle fears were recognised as the Necro's received. The Necro's tried to make a flank, but when the door was closed the Str 4 wolf tried to make a solo run with the ball. In a last ditch effort he was brought down and KO'd but a Pesti. The Nurgles then tried to cage, but the centre field became a bit of a mess. Finally seeing a game the Nurgles went for it, but snaked a GFI. The Necro's recovered the ball, but then also snaked a GFI!

Finally, the Nurgles managed to get the ball back and finally made the last couple of GFI's without reroll in turn 23 to take the match and a big sigh of relief.
