“Southward we went, bedraggled from our near defeat. What should we see but a mass of the dead, lead by a werewolf rather than the usual mummies. They demanded bloodbowl, little suspecting that was our game too!

They received, and quick as you like up the side and threatening, we tied them up a bit but it was already hopeless, the speed of that wolf hard for us to handle. Still hope with our receive, until the devious sorts put in a short wide one and blitzed it, scoring immediately! Unstoppable when we'd shaped up to knock over their wall of power.

This time we had them though, forcing them wide we knocked over the wolf and went up the other wing, their cover was stretched and tripped over it's own feet, our score!

They blitzed again in the second, but the kick was too deep. The team did a fabulous job on knocking down their wall, and at least slowing up the wolf. Unfortunately it got to Theokoles and took him down trying to blitz free, then took down covering Gannicus too and scored before we could do a thing. What a scoring machine!

Us again, this time they covered our advance up the north wing, but they over-committed and we got Donar free down the south, all their fast ones too far off and also lying down on the job! Ha! He blitzed free of the struggling cover and scored!

Still a full team, getting the ball off that wolf was going to be tough for the tie. They caged deep, and we had little choice but to push runners up with time running out, leaving them space to run the wolf forward. Our cover got tangled in itself and Agron couldn't make the blitz, so they got a 4th. At least we tried! 2-3 or 2-4 is all the same to us.

Confusingly, the loss here sends us back on our preferred northward route. Bless nuffle, long may he allow us to knock down great walls of bash.”
