“This game was decided by a Perfect Defence on Turn 1, forcing the elves to try a risky breakaway play that backfired badly and gave us the ball. We both had bad dice in the second quarter, leading to a scoreless first half as the elves systematically took themselves out trying to 1d my carrier and I doubleskulled a couple times trying to open a hole. The second half, the elves' luck turned for the better, but it was for naught because they were running out of players. Hard-fought all around!”
