“After some time off looking for tournaments, not finding any, we rejoined the regular match rounds. Yet another great foe stood before us, the Wu Tan Clan, a massive team of clawed mutants, some as big as our lads, all piling on the little green ones. I begin to see a pattern here.

We were a touch tentative perhaps, but care can pay, and we left ourselves in range of a blitz and they blew it, Goon swatting back their giant RZA easily, and we were strait onto their ball with the big boys, at least those who could remember where they were at all, Bully taking some time in particular. The ball stayed loose until we scattered it into the arms of Bruiser, with he and Bully escaping their trap down the wing. Looking good!

Unfortunately, Bully couldn't break a simple tackle and they got it loose, but then fumbled their passing and pickups and Bully was able to recover it momentarily before the half. He's such a champion, if only he could be reliable.

0-0 and our receive? Even down to just 9 on field (Muscle badly concussed, Rasputin killed) things could easily be ours. The ball fell strait to Babbling, who ran to the line for cover, but Thug couldn't remember the plan and stood picking his nose rather than clearing, despite my shouts.

They had to man up to get the blocks working, and it left Bully free to lob Babbling over the line, his sure feet lasting until a snake got him, leaving the rest of the team looking at a wall of pain. RZA killed our little giant Mumbles right there, the first little green thing I've barely cared for.

From there it was just a handful of our boys getting knocked down, fouled, RZA killed Brute along the way, while they had a blodger slowly work the ball up the side and casually pass to the young warrior Osirus to score. I might have been a touch more clever ordering the odd green thing to interfere (or keeping them off those jump up blocks, the fouls ever so tempting), but it's hard work surrounded by all that guard with ours off the field. That's why I teach the boneheads that skill! Ah well, but for that snake (and theirs to give us the chance to start with!) who knows what may have been.
