The Excavators got their long awaited rematch and they got some measure of revenge. Like last game we won the toss and lost the FAME roll. But unlike last time, we elected to receive. It made all the difference as we were able to move the ball and keep the Warriors at bay. We scored a CAS that was apo'd and didn't suffer any injuries of our own. We also managed to stall all 8 turns and got a Perfect D on T8 to mitigate hits. 2nd half both teams could field 11 but we were able to use our slightly higher MA (thanks to the Blitzers and 1 Slayer) to slow down the mostly Blocker opposing force. There was a bit of a scare in T6 as the Warriors switched field on us, but Biki Goldboot came through like a champ and put the hurt on Azaghal for good measure. Mim made a break for it but barely had any protection and with a reroll, Biki was able to get the ball out secure the win. The two sides traded one last round of blocks and then the whistle blew.

Post-match, Hvafrich skilled up and we have another Guard on the squad. Goran's beard we needed that. Now the team is shaping up to look like a normal dwarven squad, though the rookie Slayers are worrisome. Murak Mithrilcutter was present for the game but never left the dugout. His newly acquired aversion to armor has the coach worried he might do something reckless. Still, we need a 12th beard and he'll do for now.

Thanks for the game, rubio, and we'll get ready for the next one.

Epilogue: This is the team's 30th game and the 6th since coming back from retirement. The record since then is 3/1/2. Overall stats at this point are:
