#12 Lisa Nixon – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
FUMBBL Minors 1600TW V-4: Round 3

This match was all about risk management. The dark elves kept taking risks which paid off, continually putting us at risk of losing the match. Really, watch the replay, and you'll see that we got VERY lucky numerous times throughout the match, mostly with blocks against our ball carrier.

Recap:

The dark elves kicked to us, we stalled for the turn 8 touchdown to minimize their chances of equalizing the score. Second half, we encourage the elves to score, giving us enough time to have a shot at winning the match, but everything starts going wrong. Was only a miracle that the elves did not win. Overtime, elves have the ball, and we somehow get them to cough it up, still almost lose. It was only because of Miss Represented's MVP deserving pass which secured enough distance between the ball and the dark elves for us to score the winning touchdown. A crazy, tense match, and well played by coach ivan-hr.

Sidebar:

When it comes to players with weapons being on the pitch, most people think of chainsaw wielding players as the most reliable for inflicting damage. Who wouldn't? It's a GD chainsaw. But, a chainsaw roll can fail, kicking back and injuring the wielder, and really, you are still rolling two d6 to see if you break armour. Well, it turns out that the knife wielding assassins have all of those same perks as a chainsaw, without the pesky chance of kicking back, or getting banned after someone scores a touchdown. This match has me looking at assassins in a while new light.

Good game.
