We won the toss and elected to receive. We caged up at midfield; they fouled Anderson out. They popped the ball, but couldn’t retrieve it, so we naturally skulled out trying to get it back. They got the ball into a cage near their endzone, we broke the cage on a bad couple of dice on their end, and in the end it went the way of most scrums, with us up 1-0 on turn 8. The second half was almost a mirror image of the first: we forced a scrum and got the ball, but then snaked the attempt to get the ball to safety and got all butterfingered after we won the scrum. The end result was a long pass from Justin Zipp to Amari Cooper II and a turn 7 score. A perfect defense then shut down our attempt at the win, yielding a 1-1 tie.”
